Intergeneration Project
Justice Prince CIC is working to bridge the gap between children, young people and older residents living in Longbenton. A direct response to the increase in social disorder that emerged on the estate in the spring 2012. Justice Prince CIC with partners is in the process of developing a new inspiring project aimed at building understanding, tolerance and trust amongst residents.
A gardening project was delivered in June 2012, a rather dreary patio area at a local sheltered housing home was transformed into a colourful oasis. Justice Prince donated staff time , plants and flowers whilst co-ordinating partners that included Balliol Primary School, St Clements Court (sheltered housing) Northumbria Police and local young people who volunteer with Justice Prince's gardening projects, it was an outstanding success. Building on the success, a new local history project is being planned for the Autumn, the local history project will continue to foster relationships with cross sectors of the community, building cohesion and reducing the fear of crime.
